What is an order cycle? To be more efficient, many schools ask parents to place orders for multiple hot lunch days at once (ex: if hot lunches are served every Friday, the school may collect orders for two months at a time). Order cycles are the meal orders that often contain more than one meal on more than one day. Each meal in the cycle can be ordered from a different supplier and often has a variety of food items that can be selected. What is a meal?A meal is a specific day that hot lunch is being offered. Each meal may have multiple food items to choose from (ex: pizza by the slice, sandwiches, milk, cookies, etc.). How long does it take to get my school's hot lunch website ready?Microtek will create a custom, branded website for your school. Once you provide us with your school logo, the custom website is usually completed within 5 business days. You are also able to test your custom website before it goes live. How much does this service cost? The cost is only $1 per student, per order cycle. If you have parents placing orders for 1 meal or 20 meals during an order cycle, the price remains $1 per student. When do we need to pay for your service?Microtek invoices you after you have collected the paid orders from the parents. We appreciate that most schools are cash flow sensitive, and this way, you already have the money on hand when invoiced. Does your service include the food? No, you will continue to deal directly with your existing food suppliers. This HLP service is designed to replace the manual forms and spreadsheets used to order hot lunches. Our system provides totals for ordering and class distribution lists. |
